Easy to use great power and attachments

At age 86 I still want to clean my house myself. This Dyson makes that possible. We have three short staircases. At last they are easy to clean. This is the best thing that's happened sine the invention of the vacuum cleaner. Thank you, Dyson

V8 Fluffy

Used for a month now.
Pros:
Light weight
Easy to use
Easy to clean
Love the charging dock!
Cons:
Sometimes the suction just isn’t enough for cst hair in carpet (however pillows and rugs are easy!)
Run time could be longer
Charger Time 5hrs
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've never been excited about a vacuum before, so this is a first. I purchased this model because I was looking for a simple replacement for my non-Dyson upright vacuum that I could not turn off the motorized head to vacuum a new shag rug. The V8 Absolute has excellent performance ratings. My experience so far has been good. The vacuum has excellent suction, removing debris from my carpet I am embarrassed to admit I was unaware of, lightweight, easily switches modes/attachments, attractive. Included attachments seem useful. Something to note is that the power button is a trigger, so constant pressure must be applied. However, this saves battery power. The usable/batttery time seems short by description, but so far I have not required over the "supplied amount" for general use.

Versatility

This vacuum is a must for a home with luxury vinyl or wood flooring. The ability to get it out quickly for the littlest of things that would normally require unwinding the cord of your larger vacuum, is so nice.
The power heads work fantastically on the carpet, the smaller one an asset for carpeted steps and upholstery.
Ifs rugged and powerful and I am very pleased to have it in my cleaning arsenal now.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Have had the vacuum only a year and it is always hung and charging. Everytime I use it it dies within seconds. Otherwise I did love it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Too Heavy

I bought this vacuum and it’s very powerful; however, it is too heavy to keep my hand hold the power button during the entire time. There are several cordless vacuums that don’t require to hold the power button while you are using it.
