easy to use

I absolutely love it! It's very easy to use and the charge lasted for the whole house(more hardwoods than carpet) We have 3 little dogs and it was very easy to clean the carpet. I think what I love the most is not having to deal with a cord, and it's so lightweight.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have the previous model Dyson, which is wonderful - but with the extra battery life, the quieter motor and more suction power = LOVE!!
PS: we have SEVEN PETS!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a central vacuum. Very seldom do I pull out that long long hose. I just wish the battery would last a little bit longer so I could vacuum both floors. But besides that, I love it!

Can handle Newfoundland dog hair

I bought this vacuum about 3 weeks ago and for once my floors are able to stay clean. My Newfoundland dog sheds and picks up dirt so easily that everyday i would come home to more dog hair than when i left. And now it takes me only 10 mins to clean my whole house. No more dog fur tumbleweeds or sand on the floor. With this vacuum i am able to vacuum everyday with out fighting a cord or trying to find an outlet. i dont even have to worry about the roller getting clogged with hair and fur, a really big plus for me. i'm so glad i bought this vacuum and i am never going back to any other brand. i am a dyson owner for life.

Great suction and convenience-poor battery life.

I love just about everything about this vacuum. It is easily portable and has excellent suction. I love the fact that the dust and debris collected can so easily be emptied. My only complaint is battery life. If I want to use my vacuum on the max setting, the battery lasts only about 5-10 minutes. This is great for small jobs, but the ease of using this vacuum makes me want to use this as my only vacuum and that is not possible because of the short battery life. I have replaced the expensive battery and actually purchased a second entire vacuum so I can vacuum longer, but more could be done to improve this almost perfect vacuum. I would recommend this to others but warn them about the battery.

Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're so happy to hear that you've appreciated so much about the V8 Absolute, including how portable the vacuum is, and the great suction that it offers. Your vacuum will come with standard and Max power modes. Our cordless models also have a run-time enhancing light touch trigger which ensures battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed. In Max power run time will be up to 7 minutes, and in standard power, you can expect run times of up to 30-40 minutes depending on which tool or attachments you are using.
