Genius Invention!!!

We love living beside the woods, but the mosquitoes can be brutal making it difficult to sit outside in the evenings. After getting quotes for those roll down screens for our back patio ($9,000 to $15,000... uh, no thank you!) and not wanting to install permanent screens, I found this little device and it has been a life saver!!! We turn it on (it makes no sound, no smell, no flame) and in a few minutes the mosquitoes are gone and we can comfortably sit outside. We tested it in cottage country last week and found the same result. It would be a great gift for anyone who enjoys camping because it is so small and lightweight to pack. Two thumbs up for this genius invention!!!

There is a smell to the fumes. It does not work on flies. They still come. Mosquitoes did stay away after several minutes

Good product, BUT

I bought one Green repeller and we liked it so much we bought two more. The first one came with a cap and the next 2 didn't have the cap. I thought it could have ben a packing mistake. After calling customer service I was told they don't have caps anymore . Strange because the advertisement still says cap included. They have lost a formerly happy customer. Returning the the ones without caps.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for contacting us. The Patio Shield no longer comes with the cap for the repeller. Thermacell discovered the caps were causing more errors than they were intended to prevent. The caps were, trapping dust, debris, and residue which was causing the device to not work properly. In order to provide the best consumer experience and a product that works wonderfully, Thermacell decided to remove the cap from all devices as the cap was not required for the repeller to function. We hope this helps answer any questions you may have about your device.

Was up in the northwoods of WI. Was very pleased on those non-windy days. Was actually a god send to have on the boat while fishing to keep the biting flies away. Is it 100% bug free, no, but definitely a wonderful accessory.

It DOES work for mosquitoes

Mosquitoes absolutely love my daughter. And she welts up big time from a mere touch of a mosquito. We use it at our patio table and the mosquitoes just don't come near. Other bugs still find us. But not mosquitos. They just don't come near us. Period. I only wish it had an auto-off setting with a little 'ding' when it needed to be re-set. It's easy to put it under the table and forget it's on.

I bought this a month ago and it does not repel mosquitoes. I waited to buy and finally decided I would try it. Wasted my money on unit and extra pads.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
