[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The hole for the suction is too small for popcorn, as a reference. It's not really good for general sweeping. You have to move slower for it to pick up. It is useful for actually sucking up what fits in the hole!! But a good dustpan would do the job without the other inconveniences that come with this. The scraping device requires holding the broom in a way that isn't useful for general sweeping.

This vacuum was given to me by Dirt Devil to use and write a review. I can say with honesty that this is something I was missing in my house. I have hardwood almost everywhere and prefer sweeping. This is two birds with one stone. Vacuum has surprising power and the bristles are great to get to difficult areas.
