Makes stapling easier

Pros:
A nice staple gun. Really nice to handle instead of constant squeezing, no fatigue from long term use. Can staple a lot quickly.
Cons:
Jams occasionally. Can't get right up to an edge due to design. Have to really push down hard on padded fabric to get it to staple (due to safety tip).

You are correct that this staple gun has a contact safety that needs to be fully engaged before the tool will fire. Typically this is more a matter of positioning than force, although -- like you said -- it can be more challenging to engage the safety on padded fabric. When working with edges, it can sometimes help to turn the tool or the material around so that the staple is very close to the edge. By orienting the edge toward yourself, the safety interlock should be sufficiently depressed.

Most Powerful Stapler I've tried

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the T50ACD for a project that involved stapling through lath into exterior treated 2x4s. I was skeptical the staples would go full depth, but I was wrong. this tool turned a 2 hour project into a 30 minute romp with it's ease of use and powerful plunger.
