I had one of the older models in the past, but the T50ACD has so much more power and bulk for handling those daily tasks I pursue.

Not easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product does not work well unless you are on a completely flat surface. Did not work at all on my steps when trying to install a runner.
Pros: carpet runner on stairs
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This tool does have a contact safety that must be fully engaged before the tool will fire. Typically this is more a matter of positioning, but it is more challenging when working with softer materials, like carpet, or when stapling at an angle.
That's why for a project like installing a carpet runner, we'd recommend either a manual stapler or the pneumatic PT50 for overall ease of use with the angles of carpet runner installation and its softness.
