I have never used an electric stapler in my life. I am slowly walking the path from active work to active retirement. Had a project that I promised my daughter I would do for her that required me to cover some hand-crafted step brackets that will be attached to a college dorm bunk bed with carpeting to cushion the otherwise uncomfortable climb up to her bed. I own several manual staplers that I have purchased over the years, but my hands are not as strong as they once were and I felt I would do a better job with an electric unit.
After reading other people's reviews on the internet, I chose the Arrow T50ACD. Turned out to be a very good decision. It was priced very reasonably at a local hardware store. What was most impressive was that it is so simple to use, but very effective. I watched a couple videos on YouTube on how to cover stairs with carpeting and off I went.
I was able to cover the 12" x 4" tops with extension brackets easily and with a fairly professional look. The carpeting was held in place firmly and right where I wanted it to be. Pretty impressive for a first time carpet job on a very tight and small project.
I have now used the T50ACD on another project with equally impressive results. Needless to say, I am quite pleased with my purchase of this stapler and would recommend it without hesitation. I gave it 4 stars since, as an old curmudgeon, I rarely give 5 stars to anything.
