Great for carpets

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is perfect for cleaning carpets. Really strong suction to get up all the dust and mites that might be on carpet. Not too noisy either. The outlet downside is that it does take a lot of storage space.

Might be better than Dyson

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVE this vacuum. I have very long, dark hair and have yet to find a single strand wrapped around the roller bar! That’s something I struggle with our Dyson, but not the shark. Suction is fantastic, and you can hear the auto detect floor type working as you vacuum. The auto empty is something that (for me) is a nice to have, but not wholly necessary for a 2 bed apartment. Overall LOVE this vacuum and have already told family about it!

Very nice light vacuum

Suction power needs help

I got rid of my cordless Dyson for this and it's even worse. I absolutely hate this vacuum. It does NOT clean hard floors well at all. Half my house is tile which is why I wanted to get this cordless vacuum that self emptied. Would not recommend and makes me hesitant to buy another shark product.

My wife wanted a vacuum cleaner that was light weight that she could use on the stairs. This one was perfect for all the carpeting. She loves it and is very happy with it. That makes me happy!

I recently bought this as a replacement for a different, much more expensive brand. That vacuum was about 3 years old and was pretty much worthless for picking up anything larger than a speck of dust on the floor. We have two pets, both of which shed significant amounts, so we have to vacuum pretty much daily. So far, I am really impressed with the features and the functionality of this vacuum. It was very easy to put together and the stand/storage has a small footprint. I really love the auto-empty, and I empty out the larger bin after each use as well. That is my one complaint about the vacuum at this point - the latch for releasing the opening of the larger bin is a bit tricky and requires two hands - one to press the release button and one to actually open the bottom to allow the stuff to fall into the garbage can.

Excellent Auto-Empty Vacuum System with Only a Cou

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to receive the Shark Cordless Detect Pro Auto-Empty vacuum system! It looks great in our kitchen and the auto-empty function is perfection, especially for some of my older kids who help clean the kitchen. Pros include the sleek look, ease of use, and great suction. There are a couple cons, however. The vacuum is quite a bit louder than the current one I have been using in my kitchen. It’s not a huge deal to me, but I do have to remember not to run it at night after kids have gone to bed. Another negative is that it weighs a bit more than our current cordless option. If Shark were to improve on anything, I would say to make their regular light a green light that illuminates the dust, dirt, and hair the vacuum is picking up - this is always much appreciated in my book. Over all an excellent vacuum and auto-emptying system for the price!
