[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This versatile vacuum. It is well-packaged, easy to assemble, and lightweight. I love other Shark products I have used but this steps up the game for a Cordless vacuum. It can be used as a standard vacuum for small or large areas, gets in corners and crevices, and can be detached from the main vacuum for a quick cleanup.
This new vacuum from Shark is our family's new favorite….and we have multiple high-quality vacuums from Shark and other brands. This vacuum is extremely good at picking up hardwood and carpet material. It detects the surface and adjusts its suction accordingly. The edge defect system knows if you are along an edge and adjusts for that as well.
Most importantly it picks up dirt really well. The auto-detect features are great, they help save battery life and maintain the dirt pick rate (if that’s what you call it). As you go around you’ll hear it get louder as it increases its suction, so when edge cleaning or on a particularly dirty area it will increase suction to ensure it does a good job.
This vacuum empties itself into the canister that is incorporated into the base. So basically, your cordless vacuum empties itself into its docking station. The docking station holds quite a bit of the trash so you only have to empty it every so often. A nice touch is that the docking station air filter has a scented filter when it empties itself automatically you get a little pleasing smell. Lightweight, strong, and easy to use.
The Detect Pro™ Auto-Empty System allows me to empty it automatically without going to the trash and breathing all the dust clouds. This particular feature allows you to wait for up to a month to empty it into the trash.
The only improvement I would make to this is to add the option to have the button to bend it forward to be able to reach under beds and dressers and stuff to allow to not have to move it. I love this feature on my other shark vacuum. The only thing to make this perfect.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm loving this vacuum so far! This has been picking up cat hair and dirt that my expensive plug in Dyson left behind. I think the auto empty feature will improve the life of th vacuum as well, since it gets everything out of the dust bin (vs emptying it by hand which can leave things behind). It's so lightweight and perfect to get in small spaces without having to move furniture. I love that I can vacuum under my bed so easily! This is my first cordless vacuum, and I'm incredibly impressed. Since I'm still deep cleaning carpets, I use the boost mode exclusively and I get about 20 minutes out of a full charge. I'm hoping they have replacement batteries soon. I'm sure once I get the carpets super clean that I will be able to use the detect feature. This vacuum picks up everything on the edges by baseboards.
The people with issues that I've seen in the reviews just don't seem to know how to use the machine honestly. You can change the mode with a touch on the screen. I haven't had a single issue with the beater bar locking into storage mode on accident.
The only con is the size of the dust bin, but of course with the auto empty feature, you can just sit it on the dock for a second to let it empty and keep on vacuuming.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having a vacuum that gets everything at the first pass is extremely helpful. Additionally, I have a dog that sheds a lot of hair, and bing able to empty the canister without having to open it every single time is a game changer. No cord and solid battery means that I can clean my entire two bedroom place without having to recharge.

Decent cordless vacuum at a lower price point

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum is replacing a 10-year old Dyson that finally quit working. Using that as a comparison, here are my observations after a month of ownership. First, the auto empty function is fantastic, I didn't realize how convenient that was until using. The LED light on the vacuum head is also useful at lighting up dark areas to ensure you aren't missing any crumbs or dust on hardwood floors. The vacuum seems reasonably well constructed and seems to work as well as an older Dyson at a lower price point. Negatives that I've noticed are the brush roller is quite loud, and the angle at which the vacuum head locks against the shaft is fairly shallow, so if you aren't careful it will lock into storage position which can be bothersome when vacuuming in tight areas. Battery life could be better (have been averaging about 20 minutes of use in non-ECO mode per charge). Overall a good value and we are happy with the performance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! Just wow. I am in love with this Shark Cordless Detect Pro Auto Empty System. It is sleek and stylish yet powerful. This vacuum has detected pro-technology, which allows it to give more or less power and suction depending on the detected amount of dirt on the floor. When you are finished, you pop the vacuum onto the docking station, which will empty the canister right into the station. It charges and is ready for use again.
Once the station is full, pull it off and empty it into the trash.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shark cordless vacuum has it all. I absolutely love this. Out of the box. It was very easy to assemble. I love the fact that it has a cordless system, and when you put it back onto the hanging unit, it drains all of the dust and stuff you picked up while vacuuming into an odor holding tank. The tank comes with a place where you can put air fresheners in to keep the smell down. Really great concept. The document self works great. I would really recommend this to anybody looking for great vacuum.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you need a vacuum that does everything definitely go with this one! It's super lightweight and maneuvers very nicely. It works beautifully on both hard flooring and carpet. It picks up animal hair and dirt tremendously. I really like how it does not clog. I definitely recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has to be the best vacuum I ever owned, it cleans literally everything and all my mess. It works well on wooden floor and my kitchen floors. It has different options to clean and can make it smaller or bigger. It has strong power and low power!. Definitely the best vacuum I ever used and would continue to love it!!
