Good performance, frustrating intermittent issues

If I had any confidence that other routers would be better, I'd buy one to replace this. I have never had any problems with throughput on this router, although I have experienced intermittent issues such as the router failing to route (i.e., LEDs are on and blinking, but no packets getting routed) and the 5 GHz band dropping. I have also experienced problems with IoT devices not connected, somewhat mitigated by reserving IP addresses; but there is still the frustrating occasional problem of my DropCam not connecting. I am running the latest firmware, after having had the device be available on the market for a year - you would figure this would be more reliable. If you are reading this review, you should consider an Asus router instead.

I just purchased this router because my 4 kids always complain about wifi strength. From the moment I put it in they stopped complaining and thank me for installing it, especially my son doing his schooling remotely from home.
