Best router I’ve had yet

I actually wasn’t sure about this one, because I bought it certified refurbished, but it’s exceeded my expectations. It very quickly connected to a brand new modem, and throws Wi-Fi much farther than my old nighthawk modem/router combo. This is also the smartest router I’ve had, with the ability to combine both 2.4 and 5GHz bandwidths into one network and then assigning different devices to each bandwidth for the best efficiency. I couldn’t be happier with this thing.

This Netgear Nighthawk AX5400 is an excellence product. A smart router as it has WiFi6 embedded, increases the number of devices across the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands which is brilliant. And of course such a well thought device also has it down side. The 'CON' for this device is that you need to pay for protection like the Amor Security and Parental Controls. My point of view is that those paid subscriptions should be included as consumers already invested a lot on the Nighthawk products.

Great for household internet management

This router is a great upgrade from our last one. It has a high capacity for all our internet needs, better wifi range than our last router, and some great solutions for managing our kids' internet usage. Some people don't like the parental controls (or that you have to pay for them, which is understandable), but they're very useful for us.

Old Netgear router died (it was old) so replaced with Nighthawk. Great router BUT Netgear needs to tell buyers that they MUST use internet hook-up or router will not connect, ever. Thanks.
