Solid. Good speeds.

I purchased this after having difficulty getting a competitors router stable - would frequently drop connection to all devices. Have used this for a week and haven’t had any issues while having similar speeds, the other would have dropped connection several times already. So far so good. A couple of notes:
While updating the firmware as recommended upon install via the app, router wouldn’t finish install and would not operate properly. No error prompt explained that it was already up to date and did not need the update, I was only able to figure it out and get router working through my PC.
Range isn’t as good as competitors, 5 and 2.4 signals both noticeably shorter than the other in same price range. Still good for my use case, but worth noting.
Getting an attached external HD working through windows 11 took trial and error. Readyshare not as intuitive as could be and required additional settings adjustment to get it to map to windows. NETGEAR software/instruction not very helpful in that regard.
Overall: good but not great range, excellent speeds, more reliable connection than direct competitor, install through app not successful.

Started up temporarily then could not keep connection. Went through support but dug me deeper and deeper without resolution. I just wanted something that was fast and worked but got a wasted day and a return of my old router

Got this because my old router would lag out during games and streaming. Haven't had an issue since I have started using this.

So far so good !

Seems to work as expected, 5G does not broadcast as far as 2.4G but that is expected and not the fault of the router, we used our old router as an access point and it helps 5G go further. It is a challenge to get all our devices reconnected using a new password but that is not the fault of the router, it's just some devices seem to have difficulty connecting to a new router, but some devices reconnected easily, so that makes me feel it is not the router's fault.

Perfect solution for home network

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this NETGEAR Nighthawk AX5400 Wi-Fi 6 Router (RAX50) in conjunction with the NETGEAR Nighthawk 2.5Gbps Internet Speed Cable Modem with Voice (CM2050V). The CM2050V does not have an internal Wi-Fi router, which is what I desired. In the future, I did not want to be forced to upgrade both modem and Wi-Fi/router functions when one or other became outdated or defective.
In the process of installing the modem and router, I installed a NETGEAR 24 Port Gigabit Switch (JGS524v2). I retraced and tested all my Cat6E wired ports throughout the house. I plugged in my patch cables, and I was off and running. Except for a few older pieces of hardware running at 10/100, 96% of the LAN was running at 1 Gig speed. First thing, I logged into the modem and router, seamlessly, and with ease, changed the login passwords, and tweaked a few settings. Most of the factory settings were spot on for Xfinity ISP service.
For my outside, wrap-around porch area, I added a NETGEAR Insight Managed WiFi 6 AX3600 Dual Band Multi-Gig Access Point (WAX620). The access point integrated flawlessly as well. I now have incredible LAN speeds both inside and outside.
I am recently retired and not an IT professional. If you can read and follow the directions, you can install these products without a problem.

We had purchased one of these 2 years ago for WiFi at work. When we had the option for fiber internet at home, this was my go to. Easy setup, great range of over 2500 sq ft, consistently reliable. This product allows us to skip the company router rental and it was on 50% savings. Very happy.
