After testing different cable modems the Netgear Nightwalk CM1200 is proven to be the most reliable and truly transparent cable modem if you are looking to have your own and replace the ISP stock hardware. There is no way to go wrong!!

The modem has worked without a hitch, and registering it with internet provider was a snap.
The speed is much better than the modem it replaced. Highly recommended.

Box misleading label was the beginning of the issues for this device. Bought it to replace the Comcast rental unit; the CM1200 comes with 4 ethernet ports

I like the Nighthawk that was recommended to me by Sparklight representative. My only complaint is I should be able to set my own user name and password like the Belken modems. My oassword could easily be compromised, It's too simple.

CM1200 MODEM

The Nighthawk CM1200 is a very good modem to be used in replacement of any cable internet modem because it is faster and has many more features than your ordinary cable modem plus it completely eliminates that monthly rental fee of any cable internet modem!
