Got rid of my optimum cable modem that was replaced at least 4 times since January. Multi-gig signal with my Nighthawk RAX80 1GB internet is amazing. Customer support made it right when optimum support told me to return them modem. Will never get a cable company modem again.

The modem I purchased is the same modem that I rent from my cable, internet and phone provider. It will take 14 months of not paying rent to recover cost and works as well as rented modem

Second install was a breeze

I first tried to install the Netgear modem with our old router. I soon realized that the router was the problem. Once I purchased a new router, the Netgear install was a breeze. Works like a pro! Good bye Comcast rental modem!!!

This cable modem in tandem with my XR500 Nighthawk router is a night and day difference to my previous setup. Downloading, streaming and gaming have been improved significantly. I highly recommend this modem if you plan on improving your home or office setup!
