I recently bought the CM1200 to replace our previous modem. The CM1200 is lightning fast and built like a tank! It wont go offline or fail like some cheaper products from other companies. Thank you NETGEAR!

Flawless performance. Poor documentation.

This modem works very well in delivering the speed promised by my ISP. Unfortunately the four port hub doesn’t perform as one would expect. It’s one fully active, three passive. This took hours of calls with Netgear support agents to uncover. Fairly frustrating and a bit pricey for what it does, however, thus far it’s worked well with my Wi-Fi router and provided great connectivity.

Works but senseless design

Bought to use with xfinity after leaving att. I paid extra for this router to have the xtra ports on back, only to find out that only 1 of the 4 is designed to send/transmit the internet signal. It’s by design for some reason and not stated anywhere. Had to call to find this out.

CM1200 Steady Reliability

Replaced my Arris 8200 because if reliability issues. Very sensitive to Comcast power, even with an attenuator. CM1200 has been rock steady. Everything you want to make the most of higher bandwidth/higher speed network demands.

Great Modem

I bought this modem to replace the one I was renting my cable provider. My actual speeds have tripled since setup. I purchased a new router a year ago which helped but the modem really made a huge difference.

Not a Word About 4 Ports

Marketed to residential consumers with the four ports offering a benefit to that consumer. Not a single word about the home user actually needing a separate IP address for each of those ports. Big issue when the new Netgear mesh I purchased with this modem ONLY HAS A SINGLE PORT!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Netgear CM1200

My Motorola modem was not enough for the download speed. I have 2 online gamers with 2 Gaming pcs, 4 laptops. 4 cell phones, 1 Vonage VOIP, 2 Firesticks, 1 Roku. I have a Netgear Satellite Router. Setting up CM1200 was a breeze, it works seamlessly, no loss of bandwith, all gadgets work fine. Very happy with purchase
