The Netgear Nighthawk Multi-Gig Speed Cable Modem Docsis 3.1 (CM 1200) was purchased to replace my cable companies rental Modem. It has worked perfectly ever since I installed it. I would Highly recommend the Net Gear CM 1200 Multi -Gig Modem.

The installation was good with most problems on the ISP side and activation. I paid extra for the CM1200 thinking it had four LAN ports than functioned independently and would not need a switch. It does not and I have not figured out the use for these ports and had to buy the switch. Otherwise the modem functions well and is found to be a suitable replacement for the one leased monthly from the ISP. I am glad I made the purchase.

Setup and Performance

The CM1200 was very easy to set up. I was able to complete everything on-line with Xfinity and did not have to log into the local modem to change any settings. The download performance on Xfinity is currently exceeding my expectations even with daily download limits that sometimes appear from Xfinity data throttling. Great Product.

First off I love the name of the device! I had to purchase a new modem because the one Spectrum gave was was completely trash. I purchased the modem connected it and some trouble. I called Netgear support they were able to help me quickly find the issue and have my internet up and running. I have had 0 issues ever since it’s been great.
