The Nighthawk is a nice upgrade and no more cable company rental charges. The CM 1200 is hard to hold back. I pay for 250mbps speed and thru ethernet am well into the 400 . I am all set if I ever upgrade my speed in the future . dissapoint

The NETGEAR Nighthawk Multi-Gig Speed Cable Modem Docsis 3.1 (CM1200) out premorms any other cable modelm out there. It delivers every spec that they advitise. Easy to install and very reliable. Would definetly recommend.This is the third Netgear Cable Modem I've purchased over the years and bby far the most reliable.

Had a cable modem provided by my cable company but I got many intermittent dropouts.
After a month of ownership, I can say so far the CM1200 “just works”. It’s been a solid steady 900 MB DL speeds on a 1 Gig internet connection. Speeds average 20-30% faster than my old modem, consistently. I just wanted something that “works” and gave me the speeds I am paying for. The CM1200 is making this finally a reality for my household.
