Best upgrade ever.

So when we moved to San Antonio, after several months we noticed our internet and wifi was sluggish even when we purchased the fastest internet package. Did a bit of researched and got the Netgear CM1200 since the fastest I can get from my internet provider is 1000 mbps. The CM1200 was easy to install and activation from internet provider was fast. The CM1200 connects to the internet during bootup faster than the previous modem. And Ive been getting speeds up to 980mbps. Paired this up with a mesh wifi router and can definitely say Im very satisfied with this upgrade.

This cable modem works. I had a lot of trouble getting it to be recognized by my internet provider, but the Netgear customer service was very helpful. They even called back the next day to see if I was successful.

Multi-GIG ??? Not on Comcast!!

I bought this for my Comcast account several months ago when I upgraded to 900Mbps. I don't recall seeing anything at that time that said it was only certified on Comcast for 800Mbps. Never was able to get up to the claimed speeds. Now Comcast has upgraded to 1Gb and says that I need to upgrade my equipment to get the full benefit. This thing is a complete waste of my money! No good!!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
