Set up was automated, reasonably quick and painless with Comcast/Xfinity. Connection to my router provides full available bandwidth.

Top of the Line

For anyone out there looking for a top of the line modem that is able to truly utilize up to 1gb plans this is the modem for you. Have clocked download speeds of 960mbps with this device and am truly happy with my decision to purchase the (CM1200).

The nighthawk only has 1 port that the data comes out of. I am not sure what the other ports are for. I was hoping that the router could provide data directly to a couple different things and it does not. But the one port is pretty fast.

Much better speed; excellent stability

This is an upgrade from a Netgear CM600, which worked perfectly fine. My download speeds increased from about 160 Mbps to 351 Mbps (service provider limited). Wifi coverage throughout my house also appears to be better using the same WiFi router (a NETGEAR Nighthawk X6).

Upgrade for Gigabite speed from Cox Cable

This was part of a package of upgrades we needed to increase speed from our Internet provider. We also purchased a Netgear wifi. We got the speed and better wifi coverage throughout the house. I like using the same brands for both modem and wifi. You know they will work together easily.
