The modem works as claimed and meets all performance needs. I had a problem with it getting on line. I called the help line and determined that the problem was with the ISP. They had to do something on their end to get the ISP and the modem to communicate.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My previous NETGEAR N900 router (I had a separate TP-Link modem) was purchased 13 years and running smoothly for my 500Mbps COX network with very rare issues. I also used a NETGEAR ethernet switch. My cable company insisted that I needed to upgrade to a DOCSIS 3.1 modem/router so I purchased this one along with the NETGEAR Nighthawk WiFi router to replace it. It worked great for about a week then my internet started dropping, requiring a ridiculous number of reboots to reconnect-only to be dropped again. After a lot of diagnosis and a visit from my COX service tech, it was determined that this model of modem/router is ultra-sensitive to any issues in the incoming cable line.
