Really good and useful

I’ve been using for a few days and it has allowed me to get the lowest ping while playing video games on my computer on top of the fact that the download speed is immaculate. I have been able to download games over 50 gb in under 15 minutes and I’m so happy with my purchase and the performance of my new modem.

Netgear Nighthawk CM1200 Cable Modem

I puchased this to replace an older model Arris cable modem that couldn't keep up with the streaming speeds I was purchasing from Spectrum. I have it paired with a Google Nest Wifi6 Pro router and mesh system. I've only had the modem for a week, but it has been solid and has resolved a lot of the speed issues I was experiencing. I live in a rural area in Hawaii and run a vacation rental. Most my guests are remote workers so solid, fast wifi is a prerequisite for them to rent my house. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Best upgrade ever.

So when we moved to San Antonio, after several months we noticed our internet and wifi was sluggish even when we purchased the fastest internet package. Did a bit of researched and got the Netgear CM1200 since the fastest I can get from my internet provider is 1000 mbps. The CM1200 was easy to install and activation from internet provider was fast. The CM1200 connects to the internet during bootup faster than the previous modem. And Ive been getting speeds up to 980mbps. Paired this up with a mesh wifi router and can definitely say Im very satisfied with this upgrade.

Great when it works, but you'll know when it starts dying

CM1200 work great for about 9 months, I have gig service and pretty tech savvy, and it consistently gave over 900 mps... until it didn't. First my speed started to drop, 800, 600, 300, and 100 mps. Next I had to reboot the device all the time because it would just drop offline, once a month, once every two weeks, once a day. Netgear RMA the old device, but like others have said, you may need to ship the old device first, to get a new one, Netgear can offer to ship a new one first with the RMA but you must pay for it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
