I finally cut the cord to cable. My xfinity modem/router had weak coverage and didn’t want to pay to rent crap equipment. Handles streaming TV’s and other devices throughout my home AND yard !

Not quite docsis 3.1...

Works very well most of the time. However I've been having periodic connection issues. The Xfinity service person verified internet and said this modem is not fully up to docsis 3.1 standard, that it is more a 'transition' modem between 3.0 and 3.1. I've had two separate service calls and they've blamed the modem each time. I've had it less than a year and will likely need to replace with a true 3.1 modem.

I had to upgrade my old Netgear modem to allow for my new internet speed of 800 mbps. The CM1200 was a very good value option. It is perfect for people who have a separate router and satellite system.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very easy install/activation. Very little configuration. Works with all my previous devices/connections. The Nighthawk app is easy to use and works with my older router and the newer modem.
