blinking light

modem seems to work ok, but the downstream light blinks all the time. This indicates it's scanning for a download channel. Download speed seems fine, but the blinking light is annoying just the same. I don't know if this is a modem issue or a cable issue. I have not pursued a solution since my download speed seems ok.

I upgraded to the Nighthawk 3.1 and do not regret it one bit. I have had a Nighthawk router for some time and only made sense since I have had great productivity and efficiency to get the modem. My download and upload speeds are fast and no issues.
