This modem is great - easy to install and fast. But I had to do a lot of googling to be able to find how to log onto it. Also - it has 4 ethernet ports - can only use one of them to connect to your service. The others are for connecting to a separate service. So essentially useless. I paired this with my Nighthawk WiFi Router and this way they are seamless.
I recently bought the CM1200 to replace our previous modem. The CM1200 is lightning fast and built like a tank! It wont go offline or fail like some cheaper products from other companies. Thank you NETGEAR!
Worked great for about 1 year, then complications started. Internet speeds dropped to 1/10th. Numerous resets, firmware updates, and 30 minute calls with ISP and Netgear sealed the deal. I retired my modem in favor of the ISP’s best rental agreement. Time will tell if that decision is best but at least I eliminated one finger pointing source and my speed is back.
I love to buy a Modem with multi gig speed, which I did now, I didn’t install yet. Once it is installed I would like to provide more feedback than now.
We needed to update our modem in order to handle gigabit internet service from Cox, and it works perfectly. We have gone from a download speed of 164mbps to 827mbps, and upload from 10mbps to 34mbps. We are using an Orbi RBS10 router and 2 satellites mesh network.
