Mattress is too firm at ' medium' hybrid. I got new a mattress and base and it's very very hard. I have more aches and pains now than before I got this tempur pedic. Asked about exchanging, as they mentioned when we bought it, they want me to be happy, then got hit with the fees they charge to do so (not talking about the upgrade, if I were to choose one more expensive). Other fees like them picking it back up,delivering exchange and restocking fee of the one they took back. Was not mentioned. (Not that it would have swayed me, but at least it would have been disclosed. If I could go back in time, I would have gotten a regular mattress and saved 75% of what I spent. I was told I have to walk on it, roll around on it etc for 5 minutes a day to break it down. Was not told this at purchase. Yes it takes time to break down, but the feel of the model IN the store was significantly different, which is what I based my decision off of. Some people love it, my husband is totally happy with his side (we got twin xl mattresses so we could arrange them how we wanted, when we wanted. I am not very happy and living on advil since day one, didn't do that before tempur pedic. I probably won't exchange it, not giving them any more $$ than I have to, will just have to try to ' break it in' as we purchased this to be our last mattress purchase in our lifetime.
Mattress is comfortable but is very hot even after we bought the tempur pedic mattress pad. I would probably buy a different mattress if I could do it again.
I had a Tempur-pedic before, but my wife did not want another one. We ended up with a Sleep Number bed. We had the Sleep Number for 4 years and she only slept in it for 90 days. Now that we each have our own Tempur-pedic beds, sleep is great again. Currently on vacation and missing our beds.
The TEMPUR-ProAdapt 1.0 Medium Hybrid replaced a very stiff, hot and older TEMPUR-Cloud Supreme. We went with the ProAdapt Medium Hybrid because it has springs that are supposed to help with aching joints. The ProAdapt Medium Hybrid mattress does help with achy joints and back issues. The springs does not affect the mattress movement at all when your partner moves. I'm a very light sleeper and no motion transfer is very important to me. There's no motion transfer but yet it's soft even though it's a medium. This mattress is actually cool to the touch. We have not woke up hot even though we live in Texas where the humidity + heat is insane. This mattress forms and supports the curves of the body even if you are a small person. I'm 5' 1" tall - 122 lbs. and I can feel the mattress supporting areas that never touched the Cloud Supreme mattress. The combination of springs with TEMPUR materials they use now is a perfect match. Other "Hyrid" mattresses just can't compare or compete with this mattress. This is an exceptional mattress and I highly recommend the Pro-Adapt Medium Hybrid. Give it at least a full month to break in. It's fairly stiff when it's new but it does get softer with use. Really helped our achy joints, back aches and the tossing and turning. TEMPUR'S technology is way above the rest and is worth every penny to get a good nights rest.
Besides wanting to get into bed early, my back doesnt hurt anymore. I'm spoiled now watching tv in bed with the adjustable base! The massage is fantastic relieves should aches.
This is just incredible. I have had the bed now for 3 months and don't understand why I didn't do this years ago. Amazing. We even popped for the split dual king which was a splurge but absolutely worth it.
