Best mattress so far!

We first purchased the tempur adapt mattress in the medium-but upon sleeping on it at home, it was entirely too firm. The rep at the store, said the store models are often softer since they have been in use for a while. So keep that in mind when trying them out. We were able to exchange it for the soft tempur pro adapt and was so glad we did. Yes, this one is pricier, but if you are purchasing this brand of mattress, you better get what works-because none of them are cheap. The soft is perfect, even brand new out of the package. I think it would be simpler if Tempur-pedic only had soft or firm version of their mattresses. The mediums are pretty firm-not much difference between them and the firm. The soft versions are always the most comfortable to me.

Good but...

I have a king size pro adapt in medium. I loved my bed at first, it was pretty comfortable but a bit firm, sadly a year later and I find myself tossing and turning again and waking up with aches and pains. It's frustrating because it's so expensive, wishing I had gotten the soft instead of the medium, but my husband picked it. I feel like it's too firm for me. Also the bed has a different feel when it has a mattress protector, makes it former and doesn't let the memory foam cradle your body as well. Unfortunately for me it's a must as my kids sometimes join me in bed and I want to keep the mattress clean. Bottom line, it's a good bed but beware it's very firm once you have the sheets on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My husband and myself love it. Great purchase along with the adjustable base. Purchased tempurpedic sheets that work great with base, no coming off corners anymore.

It's okay - but not sure it's worth the cost

This was double the price of our old mattress, but it's not worth that. It's an okay mattress, sleeps well. I like that we aren't disturbed by the other person turning over at night. I am usually cold, but found this bed sleeps hot. My husband found it sleeps hotter than our old mattress too. It's quality and we like it, but wouldn't pay this price if we knew it was going to be comparable to our old mattress that cost half the price.

We purchased a Cloud Supreme 10 years ago. It took some getting use to and we finally adjusted to its comfort. It developed sagging on both sides and a "kings crown" in the middle. We sent all the required info to Tempurpedic and they approved a full warranty replacement. We chose the Pro Adept Medium as the firm was too firm and the soft didn't have enough support for our backs. Our first night sleeping on the Pro Adapt was AMAZING! No getting used to the mattress at all! We loved our Cloud Supreme but the Pro Adapt is light years better! Thank you Tempurpedic for taking care of us night after night! You people and your product are superb!

Still trying to decide if I like it. I think I went too firm. This bed is very very hard. If you like a hard mattress it's good but it's extremely hard.
