I have hip pain so chose the soft mattress for myself and medium for my husband. I have no hip pain sleeping on this mattress. We are both very pleased with them.

For senior citizen it is much to hard and uncomfortable. Also to high and difficult to get into. It costly to return for different style and no refund available.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My back has quit hurting.

I had a Temper-pedic for years and wore it out. I got talked into a Serta mattress that I slept on for two years, waking up with a backache after the first year. After the second year I relegated that mattress to my guestroom and got myself another Temper-pedic. That's all I will every buy for myself in the future.

Very pleased with improved sleep

I went into the process of buying this mattress after enjoying a Tempur-pedic that was purchased in the early 2000s when there was really only one kind. (I still have it - it's just in another room.) Anyway, I wanted to buy a new one that was as close to the old model as possible and the Tempur-pedic site recommended I go with the Tempur-ProAdapt in Firm. I went to Hassleless Mattress and tried every version in the store and settled on the mattress in Medium and I'm very glad I did. For me, this is plenty firm. I noticed almost immediately that I'd sleep more soundly and not roll around as much and similarly, my husband didn't roll around as much either so we didn't disturb each other as much as we had in the past on the conventional mattress we'd been using for the past 10 years (like I said, the Tempur-pedic is in another room of the house.) I also noticed my hips and back didn't ache in the morning anymore. This was a pleasant surprise. My husband has sciatic issues and he said he started feeling better after a week or so on our new mattress. We do tend to sleep "hot" so I should have considered upgrading to the cooling mattress, but we are making due and are really very pleased with our purchase. Just remember - you really do get what you pay for. I would recommend and would purchase another.
