We previously owned a Queen Tempur-Pedic, so getting use to firmness of the mattress was not an issue. The Split King is an adjustment and finding the right position was frustrating at first and the the anti snore adjustment raising you was quite an experience. We are now almost a month into this new sleep experience and we are adjusting and finding a comfortable sleep position. The sleep tracker is amazing and it's calculations made us realize how we were not getting quality sleep. Be patient and your sleep experience will improve.
First of all, give your new mattress some time. It may take a week or two to "break in". After a month this bed feels so amazing. It is just the right amount of firm for us. I can not feel my spouse moving in the middle of the night! So grateful for this bed.
We replaced our old Tempur-Pedic firm memory foam which was 13 years old. Still adjusting to the new hybrid mattress but am convinced it is easier for my spouse to get out of bed than the old memory foam only. In addition, it is much more comfortable on my shoulders and hips so believe the coil springs help relieve some of the pressure. Only possible shortfall is that the edges are not as firm as the old memory foam but it has not caused any issue for us yet. Probably could have given it a 5 but want to wait and see how well it holds up. It's very expensive so would like to get at least 13 years out of this mattress.
No aches, no pain. This is my second Tempur-Pedic mattress; my first was covered under warranty and my experience with customer service was absolutely incredible. They stand by their product and everything was covered without any hassle at all. Can't say enough about how pleasantly surprised I am with the company's response to my warranty claim. I expected to have to put up a fight and I'm delighted that it was as smooth as could ever be hoped for. The only thing I don't absolutely love is that this particular mattress doesn't come in the medium-firm style, as my previous model did. To be fair, that was an option with the lower tier mattress and I chose to upgrade.
