Have always bought and enjoyed Tempur-Pedic (TP) mattresses. After 13 years, we recently upgraded from a TP Queen to King mattress, but the King mattress is not 80" as described (everywhere) - its only 78". I called authorized retailer (where mattress was purchased) and they said after communication with Tempur-Pedic, the exchange was denied as Tempur-Pedic indicates their dimensions are - BETWEEN 78" and 80" *although my Queen size is 80" as described. Authorized retailer said they also measured their floor model mattresses and all were around 78"-79". Imagine how many people don't notice or measure their mattress. We have an adjustable base and the lack of 2 inches makes a difference; but regardless, for spending the high cost on a mattress, it should be the correct dimensions.
I am so over the moon with my new king ProAdapt medium tempur-pedic mattress....from the first night, I could feel the difference this bed makes...not only is this bed doing wonders for the arthritis in back, I also know that I am sleeping better since I am not tossing and turning all night long to get comfortable...I can tell that I must be getting more hours deep sleep...the tempur mattress almost fells like a hug when ever sleeping on my side or back. I am not a stomach sleeper but my husband is and he said this bed is really comfortable while sleeping on his stomach. He also suffers from chronic shoulder pain and he feels less sore when waking in the morning. I have bought at least 4 costly mattresses over the past two decades (none of them a tempur-pedic) and none of them even comes close to the quality of sleep I am getting from my tempur...I should have bought a tempur a long time ago. This is know...this bed has made me a temper customer for life. Next time maybe I will splurge on the adjustable base as well.
After sleeping on an old mattress getting our new Tempur-ProAdapt Firm mattress has really made a difference in getting a good night's sleep for both my husband and myself. The mattress on delivery seemed too firm but after sleeping on it that was not the case. The mattress forms to your body and I do not wake up when my husband moves. I would highly recommend this mattress for anyone that enjoys a firm mattress.
It's soft, but firm. I have had 3 back surgeries and a hip replacement but try to remain active. This mattress gives me the support I need, but feels so snuggly at the same time. No pressure points, I hardly move all night.
Extremely comfortable! No buyers remorse, highly recommend!

I decided to purchase a new mattress after sleeping on one with permanent body indentations that couldn't be remedied by a 3 inch foam topper. Every turn woke me up and made my body hurt regardless of the position I took. I decided to try out mattresses one afternoon when I was by myself and had some time to spare. After trying out numerous mattresses with no preconceived thought as to which kind, i.e. foam, coil, combination, whatever, I ended up choosing this mattress as it made me feel like I was laying on a cloud. I have no buyer's remorse nor regrets for the expenditure made for this new king mattress which we placed on our existing Tempur-pedic frame. My back pain has subsided and I no longer wake up when turning over onto my side. In just a few seconds, the new mattress conforms to my new position and it makes me feel terrific. I am sleeping more soundly and I no longer wake up feeling like I slept on the hard ground. My body pains have subsided considerably. I freely admit that I paid full price for this mattress and received no compensation for any comments included here. I would buy this same mattress again.
