It's just OK

For the cost and the marketing and testimonial hype, I suppose I was expecting miracles. I don't find that it "eliminates" pressure points as the advertising claims. I'm 5'10" and 135 pounds, however that factors into the pressure relieving design. I spent a very long time testing the various firmness offerings at my local store. I started with the 'medium' firmness, and decided after 45 days that is was too hard for my needs: I live in a cool climate with the winter-time average indoor temperature rarely getting to 60 degrees F in the bedroom. I contacted Tempur customer service for help with the a too-hard mattress to ask if there was anything I could do to make it more comfortable (a slab of wood shaped to your body is still a slab of wood, after all), and was advised that the optimal temp for their mattresses is between 65 and 72. If I'd known that, I likely would not have gone with Tempurpedic. I had actually decided to return the Tempur and go with a more traditional mattress but was only able to exchange for another Tempur of equal or greater price, which is how I now have the soft. My experience with it is just ok. I accept responsibility for not having the 90 day trial fully explained to me, but it was still another disappointment on top of the fact that the sleep experience really isn't what I'd hoped it would be. So my advice to anyone considering a Tempur mattress is to ask more questions than I did! Especially considering the price.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We LOVE our new TempurPedic and I'd recommend one in a heartbeat to anyone wondering if they are really "worth" the cost. Never in my life did I think I'd ever purchase one, due to price point. And initially we were going to buy another brand but when we tested the TempurPedics in the store, it was clear there was no comparison. Still it was a big decision, but with 0% financing, it was a no brainer. And we are so glad we made the decision. We sleep so well every night and wake up every morning pain free. For someone who has back issues, this was huge, I never expected to be able to wake up every morning without pain.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mattress changed my life! I'm so thankful! No more back pain or waking up in the middle of the night. Would recommend to everyone!
I recently had a surgery performed and got used to having an adjustable bed. So, I purchased this when I got home and am now experiencing some of the best sleep ever. I did need to change out my mattress as well. The lesser quality 14" memory foam I had wouldn't flex enough for the contours. I went with the Adapt-Pro model. I'm surely recommending this setup. Yes it's expensive but you spend so much of your life in bed, then make it a healthy experience.
Have had mattress for 3 weeks now and am finding it very comfortable. Conforms to your bodyweight without that sinking in feeling. Gives you pressure and cushion on your joints. I do have a mattress protector on it and find that it does take the cooling factor away a little ( I will probably be buying a cooling mattress protector). I am a stomach sleeper and my husband is a side sleeper and we chose this mattress as the happy medium comfort for both of us. I do feel it was a little on the pricey side, but it has been 10 years since out last mattress purchase and as long as we sleep good it's worth it.
Comfortable mattress but falls short of some expectations.

Mattress is comfortable and seems to have improved some of the physical issues we had with our old mattress including back, hip and leg pain. That said, the softer top allows the body to sink into the mattress. This may help in one sense to support the body but creates an issue for both my wife and I as we try to change position during the night. Somewhat like trying to roll out of a gully and over the side. The soft edges are also an issue for a larger man of my size (6'4" and 280 lbs.). If my wife is already in bed when I sit on the edge, it pulls her in the direction of my side and bedding with it. This sometimes includes even the mattress cover which is a mid-level Tempur-Pedic cover. Lowering the bed might help some in this area but are still awaiting delivery of the bed from itself for that to happen. We have not given up as yet because it is comfortable but worried some of the issues outlined will only worsen as we get even older.
