May be too soft

This is my second Tempurpedic mattress. The first was the old DeluxeBed model, a medium firm mattress that was about a 6.0 on the firmness scale. It took a while to soften up and the unused side was still as hard as a rock after 12 years but it was great for alleviating lower back pain. My arthritis in the hip has worsened with time and age so I selected the Pro Adapt Medium Hybrid with a 4.5 rating as a replacement mattress for more pressure relief. I was told it is their most popular model, especially among women, and the three year old floor model was not overly soft. My new mattress took no time to break in but after three weeks of use, it seems a little mushy. I weigh about 200 pounds and am a side sleeper. I will try it for a couple more months but am concerned that the Medium Hybrid might be too soft for me.

First time in years peaceful sleep.

This is a firm mattress. My husband was ready to return next day. He is a big man so this was a computerized fit for him. I reminded him you have to give it an adjusting period. In the past he has had pain. I have not heard any complaints about his hip or back. I am able to sleep peacefully without him waking me through out the night. Max our salesman took time with us and answered our questions. He was knowledgeable about the products he sells.

Firm and Comfortable`

This is my first time owning such a firm bed, but I went with it based on my conversation with the local mattress specialist. After a one week adjustment period, my sleep quality has definitely improved from my previous mattress. The quality feels excellent, and the movement isolation is unreal; movements by another person are practically unfelt.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best Mattress I've Ever Owned

Due to our aging mattress, we decided to purchase the King Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt Medium Hybrid & standard Tempur-Pedic 2x Twin Base. This was the best decision ever. Our bed has strong edge support, zero motion & super comfy. After 30 days my wife & I are sleeping better than we ever have. We both sleep very sound and feel well rested each morning. We also purchased Tempur-Pedic pillows and sheets. Both are 100% recommended ! A mattress is used every day of our lives, why wouldn't you want to buy the very BEST !

A good bed, but...

We replaced our old memory foam mattress with a TEMPUR-ProAdapt™ Medium mattress, with a powered adjustable base. I do think it helps my wife breathe a little better. However, this hybrid mattress is not as good as our memory foam mattress was in keeping me from feeling her movements. As a result, she wakes me up more than before. Life is tradeoffs and choices. I am ok with this choice, as my wife sleeps better, and in the end that helps me too. But I still miss the ability of the memory foam mattress to keep me from feeling her movements at night.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
