Worst mattress ever

I bought this mattress since I heard it was the best for pain and considering that I have a bulging disc, I thought this would be the perfect purchase for my neck. I was wrong. I started waking up in more pain than ever after a few months of having it and any other mattress alleviates my pain better than this one does. There's no edge support, my own body heat causes it to sink in 4 inches, and I will never be purchasing from Tempur-pedic again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Firm, yet comfortable

We have used this mattress for the past 3 weeks and haven't slept this well in a long time. Needed to transition to a firm mattress, and it has made a difference. The mattress itself sleeps cool. One of our biggest concerns was the idea of "sinking" into the mattress - that does not happen. We also splurged on the Tempurpedic Luxe Egyptian Cotton Sheets - again, amazing. This only added to our experience with this bed.

I have no issue with the quality and comfort of the mattress once situated properly in the bed. My concern is that when one first sits on the edge of the bed, the edge sinks very rapidly, and during sleep, the edge provides no resistance to rolling off the bed as traditional spring mattresses do.
I would recommend this to a friend!

THE BEST MATTRESS IN MY LIFE

We have never had a tempurpedic before and really wanted to try one, but didn't want to shell out as much money for the other models. We opted for this bed in a box based on the tempurpedic name and reviews. So far, we find it very comfortable and it is just the right firmness. We have slept so much better on this mattress, then with our prior mattress. I also don't get woken up as easily when my husband moved in the night. Definitely recommend!

Disappointed in this system

We have owned a Tempurpedic mattress and base for just over a year. When it was delivered, it was much firmer than the one we tried in the showroom. We were told by the salesperson to give it some time to soften up. After 90 days, it was still too firm. We were advised it takes several months to adjust. Also advised us to put heavy books etc on the mattress to help soften it. (?) Now, a year and two months later, it has still not softened as I had hoped. I wake up each morning with back and hip pain. I'm also noticing that we are starting to have "dips" on both sides with a ridge in the middle of the mattress. Disappointed that a system we spent this much on is not comfortable for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mattress was too soft not firm like description. Then when I try to make return it has been over a month and still have not received a pick up date. We are unable to put our new replacement mattress in our room till Tempur pedic takes this one back. We wake up w aches and pains due to lack of support. Would not recommend Tempur pedic at all. For the price you pay you would hope to get resolution fairly quickly. So wrong.

Invested in this Tempurpedic mattress since my previous set was old and ready for replacement. I also purchased the base. The foam conforms to you and is very comfortable.
