[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, the well-balanced design makes this vacuum sleek and durable, maneuverable and easy to use. The versatility in their products is a big reason the Bissell name is always a dependable option for families and pet owners like us. With two toddlers , an outside cat, a dog, and a crazy amount of houseplants, we have plenty of messes to clean up regularly and the ReadyClean cordless vac really pulled through for all of it.
This design, at first, seemed to highlight a totally unnecessary feature for me: the folding handle. Lightweight but sturdy, our family was immediately smitten with the versatility of this small vacuum. Going from typical upright tasks (like cleaning a rug) to picking up larger particles or specific messes (a giant wad of pet hair) with the handheld part and then again lowering the entire vacuum without bending (to get under a shelf) was soo satisfying! Very useful for small jobs around the house, and has been amazing for recovery at 4 months postpartum so I can still keep up with the family chores.
The strength of the vacuum in all of its forms is surprisingly good, given its size. We tested this everywhere: in the car, on a yoga mat, on hard wood floors and carpets, pet beds, and crevices in between, as well as linoleum and tile. On each surface, the pet hair and dirt was a breeze to pick up, while some of the food messes got stuck a little unless using the crevice tool. It even fits under and around our smaller furniture (pictured) as well as the toddler table.
Before our initial use, I was surprised to read that the charge to use time ratio was 4 hours to charge for twenty minutes of battery life. (However, this actually has not interfered with any of our cleaning efforts and does keep us on task by acting as a kind of productivity timer.) As long as you keep plugging it in after use, it's definitely great for typical household jobs. As for the runtime concern, we did a little test by charging for an hour and a half to time the usage. We were able to use it for 10 and 1/2 minutes nonstop with the three different styles of cleaning, plenty of time for what we usually need.
Lifting, pushing and pulling is easy enough that my toddlers and my 6' partner are all able to comfortably use this vacuum. It does take a bit of care to click in when going from the handheld dust-buster into the upright mode since there is one audible click for the charging port, then a second click is needed to secure the rest of it. You also have to have a decent amount of hand and wrist dexterity to pull the trigger for the folding features. My main recurring complaint about this style of slim profile is that there is not a defined place to keep the upholstery tools like a charging dock or storage 'home'. The charger is a specific Bissell-made cord, which means you won't be able to grab whatever USB-C that's laying around close by: it bothered me to have to keep track of those three pieces without a convenient mesh baggie or some kind of cutout on the vacuum for storage, while going from room to room. The upholstery tools do fit in very snugly when needed, despite feeling a bit cheap at first and added a decent amount of length needed to get into cracks and crevices. Also, oddly enough, it seems like the circular button to release the swivel part should work like a foot pedal but I always have to bend over and press it to release the front, which is slightly annoying at times.
Bottom line, we love this thing for a quick clean. I think I was most impressed with some of the more functional design details, rather than the folding handle function. Having a transparent front allows you to see what you're cleaning and if something is stuck without going to get a coin to open up the brush housing; the rubberized wheels are really nice for grip and traction as well as sound dampening on different surfaces; more rubberized pads around the exterior of the foot help cushion the impact on trim and furniture while trying to clean in a hurry.
And I was super pleased to notice the color choices are well-balanced, without the logo being visually obnoxious and the buttons are highlighted, too. Use after use, I love that this vacuum feels super sturdy and light, without feeling flimsy, with the added benefit of being easy on the eyes in my home space.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum is small compared to others I’ve used. I appreciate the small head to help get under the table and around the chairs. My kids (and I) appreciate the small size so they can run it. They also love that they can take it apart and use the hand held part. I like to see everything I vacuum up, so I like the clear can. It’s super easy to run and maneuvers easily. The folding handle doesn’t really do anything for me, but I can see how some folks would appreciate it to fit in a tighter storage spot. It is louder than I expected, but it is also a lot more powerful than expected. It gets stuff that is really close to the walls/corners too. It’s super convenient and between the dog, kids, and farm life, I find myself reaching for it multiple times a day. I hope this vacuum lasts a long time!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a fan of this vacuum starting with the simple assembly. Two or three quick steps and it was up and running.
Overall it’s a solid vacuum. The suction is strong and it does well on hard and soft surfaces. The battery life is adequate for most jobs and it charges back to full fairly quickly.
My pros: I like the adjustable handle. It can be straight, bend about 45 degrees forward (lowering the vacuum to go under furniture) and can also bend all the way back behind the vacuum for storage. The ability to quickly detach the handheld vacuum is also a huge plus. It doesn’t require any other work besides detaching it from the main unit. It’s also very lightweight both when using and when carrying. My kids can move it throughout the house with no problem.
My cons: No attachment storage on the unit. With the handheld detaching so nicely, it’s a shame the attachments aren’t stored close by to put on it. Another small con is that there is no detachable battery. You have to charge the whole unit. It’s not a huge deal but you’ve got have the space where you charge to put the whole unit.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am currently in my third trimester of pregnancy and having this vac has been a life saver. Our house consists of majority hard wood and tile flooring and this vac is the perfect lightweight tool to help me clean up after my two older kids and dog. It picks up hair, crumbs, and more while allowing me to quickly cover a large majority of our living spaces. Because of the lightweight design my 5 and 3 year old enjoy helping to vacuum too! (A bonus in my book!) Another place that this vac excels is on our stairs. Dust and hair quickly removed from each step and doesn’t leave dust in the air like a broom would.
The suction strength is more than enough for hard surfaces. It handles small crumbs and everyday messes. It does not clean as well on rugs and carpet, but for what we need it for it does an amazing job! I also really like the detachable feature, I can reach up high for things like spider webs and easily clean off chair cushions after meals.
Another feature that I love about this vac is its ability to reach under small spaces. We have radiators in our house, and this vac fits right under them with ease. With that said it also fits nicely under chairs, tables, cabinets, etc.
The vac is something that I couldn’t do without at this stage of life. The small lightweight design paired with the excellent battery life, and ability to clean up after my family in quick order is something that I really appreciate!
The vac is great for anyone looking to quickly keep their main living spaces tidy with minimal effort to lug around a vacuum!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our overall impression of the Bissell ReadyClean Cordless 10.8V is that it is an easy to use and versatile vacuum that has become a staple in our family cleaning routine. It seamlessly transitions between hardwood, tile, and carpets all in a single session without missing a beat. One of my favorite features is how lightweight it is; it's so easy to carry up and down the stairs, and is manageable enough that even our younger boys can comfortably use it to help with daily vacuuming. Don't let this size fool you, the suction is plenty powerful for everyday messes, picking up everything in our house from spilled food to dog hair.
Maneuvering around the house is also a breeze thanks to the 2-way folding handle that lets you slide the vacuum flat under couches and furniture. It also has swivel steering that makes it glide nicely over your floors. We get a lot of use out of the removable hand vacuum and its crevice tool, which makes quick work of cleaning stairs, getting in tight corners, and detailing the carseats. Our only real complaint is battery life. The 10.8V battery doesn't quite have enough runtime to handle more than one floor of the house at a time, forcing a pause to recharge. Ultimately if you are looking for an excellent, highly versatile, and lightweight vacuum that gets the whole family involved in keeping your house tidy, this vacuum is a fantastic choice.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ReadyClean Cordless 10.8V is a great vacuum for quick, small jobs around the house. It is very light and super easy to carry around wherever you need to go. Because it is so light and maneuverable you can get around, or under, furniture easily. We have both hardwood and carpet flooring. On hardwood it was very effective at small, dry messes. It quickly found its home near the dining table to give a quick clean after toddler meal times. On carpet it works ok, but had to go over some spots a few times, even on a small pile rug. The fact that it detaches as a handheld vac is certainly the best part. It is supremely useful, and can grab it for a quick clean up almost anywhere. It is not going to be used for big jobs or cleaning the whole house – the battery life is true as advertised, about 20 minutes, and it just doesn’t have the suction for a deep carpet cleaning. It is small and easy to store, but it doesn’t really have a place to hold its two attachments for storage. The attachments are only for use in handheld mode, and when used on furniture they sometimes fall out when pulling across the fabric. Emptying is painless because the collection bin comes right apart in a few pieces to make it easy to get out all the dust and dirt. It’s convenient that the roller bar comes out of the base to clean. Overall, a fantastic vacuum for the small, every day messes.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hi! My name is Allie and Im a mom of 2. And I have been using this vacuum the last 2-3 weeks REALLY intensely! I’ve putting it to the test in my 1,200 SF home and even in my minivan. I have mostly hard surfaces with large rugs, but my bedrooms are medium pile carpet. I also clean airbnb’s and took this to my large home cleaning! It was mostly hard surfaces with several large rugs as well. The airbnb I cleaned had zero carpet. The battery life I believe is a couple of hours because I was able to use this for days before needed to charge it again.
With all that said, I believe this little vacuum packs a BIG punch!! I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I have preferred this lightweight vacuum to my larger portable vacuum. Here are the reasons why: it’s very lightweight and has been so easy to maneuver tables and couches with the feature that allows the handle to flex down to bend to easily fit under furniture. It has a powerful suction and is easy to empty and clean. The function on this vacuum that makes it bend to reach under furniture is one of my favorite things about it. And this being a cordless vac is a HUGE plus.
This vacuum is perfect for the person who needs a lightweight vacuum and uses this for low pile rugs. I also think this would be great to use for Airbnb’s as I have done. The battery power seems to last a few hours! It’s easy to carry up and down stairs and ways to use for under furniture, which I think makes a great Airbnb or even small space use vacuum. If you have a physical need for a lightweight and cordless vacuum I do think this would be a great option!
We also used this to vacuum out our mini van and that was great! If you have high pile carpet I’m not sure how it would do as the profile is pretty low on the vacuum head. But the suction power if strong and effective. Overall, I recommend this lightweight, powerful vacuum and it's a bonus that my husband has been loving using it too!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This compact vacuum is perfect for everyday use. It is incredibly lightweight and nimble. I tend to clean as messes come up throughout the day, and found this to be a game changer when it comes to convenience and versatility. Crumbs under the dining room table? The head of the vacuum swivels slightly to reach in between chair legs. Debris on the couch? Go handheld with the click of a button, and pop in the upholstery attachment. With a quick switch to the crevice tool for cobwebs and narrow spaces all of those pesky little tasks that tend to build up have been taken care of in a matter of seconds. I have mostly hardwood floors downstairs with large, low-pile rugs. This vacuum moves flawlessly from surface to surface. Two two-way handle also allows for easy cleaning under couches. I have never seen this feature in a product before.
The Readyclean plugs in to a wall outlet to charge and lasts long enough to get at least one floor of a house done. I love how easy it is to tuck away when not in use.
Overall, I'm very impressed by this vacuum. I have used it daily since receiving it and now consider it an essential for my everyday routine.
