Decent corded vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Decent vacuum does a good job. Average noise level. Suction is nothing to write home about. Average weight for a vacuum. It is corded so thats a major drawback.

One of my favorite vacuums!

Honestly the only thing I would say that isn’t 100% great is that is has a cord, but truthfully, it even picked up all my husky and golden retriever’s hair! The auction on this thing is great and it’s pretty quiet! Love that shark made this vacuum what it is!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The perfect vacuum. It’s multi functional, you can vacuum carpet or the bare floor. It doesn’t leave any dirt behind. Suction is amazing. It’s light weight which is a plus if you live in a home with stairs or different levels. It’s not loud. The filter and trash dump is easy to pull out and change/clean. 10/10

Decent Vacuum For Small Spaces

The noise level is typical, to be honest, and I kind of did expect it to be quieter. The suction is just okay, things get picked up but it does take a couple of passes.

Impressive even with pets

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To be completely honest, I was a bit cynical about this vacuum. I am really not a fan of cords, and when I first assembled it I found it unbalanced and hard to have it just stand up. I changed my tune once I actualy used it. This is a great vacuum, especially for pets. It manages to get all the little balls of fur while also not getting clogged. If you've struggled with vacuums and pet hair before you know exactly what I'm talking about. It is easy to use, and the cord isn't so bad. It looks nice, and I haven't had any issues with it after using it in my house that has two dogs and two cats for almost a month. That's impressive!

Shark stick vacuum

I love the option to use the handheld vacuum to clean up smaller messes. The light helps you see messes on lighter floors. It has done an amazing job picking up dog hair.

Opt for the full size model vs the lightweight

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was thrilled to try the Shark Detect UltraLight Vacuum after seeing its detailed infomercial, which really sold me on its features. Note that the UltraLight is different from the standard Shark Detect model. In hindsight, I’d choose the full-size version over the UltraLight for better performance.
The UltraLight lives up to its name - it is indeed lightweight and easy to maneuver. However, its suction power feels limited, especially for deeper cleaning. The dust canister is small, requiring frequent emptying, though I give it five stars for the emptying process. It’s designed to minimize escaping dust particles, and unlike other brands, it doesn’t require force to open.
The cord placement also deserves five stars. Positioned at the top near the handle, it stays out of the way during use, unlike competitors with cords near the base. I no longer worry about tripping over it or holding it to avoid running it over.
One surprising discovery, for me, was that many vacuums primarily suction when moving forward, not backward. I’m not sure how I lived so long and never knew that! The UltraLight does offer some backward suction, which is noticeable on longer carpets as it creates a distinct pattern—a nice reminder it’s working. However, it occasionally requires multiple passes to pick up fine particles. This can be frustrating for thorough cleaning especially when the dirt is not easily visible.
Overall, the UltraLight has innovative features, but its suction power and small canister size hold it back. If you prioritize lightweight design and convenience, it’s decent, but for more robust cleaning, consider the full-size model.
