The design is LESS THAN the safe case we purchased years ago. I’ve had my phone just a month and apparently dropped it later realizing it the screen now has a chip broken on the right side!! This model case (maybe all cases now days??) does not have a screen protector. We covered the screens to prevent scratches but never anticipated a chip & crack with the OtterBox in place! Time to switch brands.

Offer decent protection but very disappointed in the Camera Control coverage. many other cases have a way to at a minimum protect the area, but OtterBox chose to just create a massive section of their case to be removed. This in my opinion leaves a very large unprotected edge to the phone, which isn’t acceptable. Much less expensive cases offer the same protection and better design over the camera control button. A returning the case for this reeason.

The otter box goes around the camera button on the right side so it leaves that space of 1 1/2 inches of the screen exposed.
The volume on and off button is not covered so it is easily touched I have Otter boxes since they first came out. I would trust no other cover for my phone

It is strong to protect your phone. But, it is very awkward. The camera space is too large. I grab my phone and the camera button is where I always grab, I can no longer use my stand up charger. The case is too thick. No to the Defender model. My kids bought Serenity, but they cracked on the second day of use.
