This new model has a few annoying changes from my previous model. First, it no longer has a tether point which would allow a lanyard to be attached. Secondly there is a gap on the edge protection on the right side where the new camera slider is located. A drop which lands at that point will surely cause damage.

I gave this item 4 stars because: 1) It's hard to access the charging port when the harness is attached to the phone (not a problem with my previous Otterbox cases). 2) The phone can only be clipped onto the harness in one direction. Otherwise, the case is wonderful!

Works just like all the other models I’ve had but has limited functionality because of the design. Wearing on right side with the clip it only can be stored on clip holder in one direction which makes me have to turn it around every time.

This OtterBox Defender is only one of the many I have purchased for multiple iPhones over the years. I have never had any damage to any of the cellphones even though there were several times they were accidentally dropped on very hard surfaces. OtterBox Defender is the only cellphone cover I will use.

The Defender series always provides good, sturdy protection for the iPhone if one is okay with the tradeoff of weight and bulk. However, the Defender is not compatible with standard camera lens covers for the iPhone 16 Pro. In order to use the Defender with the 16 Pro, one must use individual lens covers; not the standard cover that is placed on the whole section.

my only wish is that the screen protector was a tiny bit bigger so it would go up to the edges of the defender case. As it is, there is a tiny gap where dirt can collect.
