Ever since I switched to iPhone I have always got an otterbox. This one really disappointed me with the fact that they left part of the screen unprotected because of the new touch pad. I really wish they would change this design and put the trim piece all the way around like it has been to protect the phone beside making it comfortable to hold because this case is not it unfortunately.

Our engineering team not only found that the new notch does not diminish the drop protection of the case, we also re-engineered these cases to be Drop+ 7x rated up from Drop+ 4x rated on previous versions.

I rely on OtterBox to provide complete protection for my handsets. I’ve been using otter boxes since the iPhone 4s.
I am at a loss with their decision not to have the case wrap around the complete perimeter of the phone. Currently, near the camera button, there is an exposed 2” edge where the screen meets with the metal frame. Even with a screen protector, this is a very vulnerable edge that is not protected. I may have to look at other brands for the meantime and hope that OtterBox might revise the case design of the 16pro max.

I ALWAYS use an otter box, nothing better. The new iPhone 16 pro max has a new button on the right side. The button and side of the phone are unprotected with the otterbox case, I will have to find a different case to cover these parts.

I absolutely LOVE OtterBox! I’ve always had an Otterbox case on my phone since the iPhone 4S! I wanted to love this case as much as I’ve loved my others in the past but I was disappointed that it was just a giant cutout for the camera control button on the iPhone 16 Pro Max case. I buy these cases for every phone for the best all around protection but I didn’t feel like my phone was protected with a big cutout like that :(

Do not like the case at all and how it’s cut out where the camera button is. It allows it to fall out of a regular phone holder that I have in my work truck. I have a MagSafe holder in my personal vehicle.
