This is blowing my mind by how many great features it has. The screen is large and easy to read the probes can handle two ambient temp and internal temp, and it can endure a sear on a BBQ. The app is great and tracks the temp over time while saving over wifi so I can see it with my phone even while i am out of the house. I love it.

Thermometers are well built, accuracy is been good so far with the few cooks that I have done. I would definitely recommend getting the quad so it allows you to cook different things across the grill and you have awesome control of what you’re cooking at what temperature.

The probes work as advertised and connectivity is excellent. However, they are very large in diameter and can be hard to insert. Also, the long length makes them hard to use in filet mignon and other smaller cuts of meat.

Effortless setup and reliable, straightforward action. One problem though, you can’t export your data except in the form of silly little movies clips. This severely limits the usefulness of the system for any serious cooking. Please, Typhur, add proper export, graphs and numbers, to the app!

Used the sensors on some very good steaks and removed them when the steaks hit the temperature as indicated but they were very much overcooked. I have returned the product waiting on a refund.

I was excited to try the Typhur Sync Gold Quad for the cooks on my Traeger Ironwood XL. Set up, iPhone app, WiFi and Bluetooth connections all flawless. My first cook w 2 probes in a 9 lb pork butt was rocking for the first 6 hours with the pork butt sitting directly on the grill. Internal temps, ambient temp (love this!) progress graphics, estimated finish time, et al - perfect, meeting and even exceeding all expectations I had for this product. A consistent full strength signal and data flowed seamlessly from the closed smoker, across the 50 feet of my deck and into my kitchen area where I patiently watched TV and waited while the cook ran its course. That’s the good news. Then came the wrap phase. Placing the pork butt in a disposable aluminum braising pan, covering with a single layer of standard heavy duty Reynold’s wrap, and returning to it to the closed smoker I was IMMEDIATELY dismayed by the loss of signal and connection between the 2 Typhur probes and the phone app and Typhur base. I repositioned the probes and the pork butt in the braise pan to no avail. The only way I could get a signal was to place the Typhur base on the grill’s built-in shelf! Thats’s the not so good news. I bought this for the opportunity to monitor my simple, basic cooks, wrapped or not, from indoors, 50 feet away. Unfortunately that has not been my experience.
