I bought the Typhur Gold to replace my Meater device. The Meater would lose connection frequently. I’ve only used the Typhur once since I purchased it but it worked perfectly. My steaks came out perfect. The display screen is user friendly. I’m quite pleased with my purchase and highly recommend. I can’t wait to use it during Thanksgiving when I’ll have all four devices working at once.

A very fine tuned instrument, it even made me aware of my oven running colder than the set temperature. The only downside, which is more of a dig against me than anything, is that the alarms for target temp aren’t particularly loud and won’t wake you from your Christmas nap when the prime rib hits it’s temperature. All in all I salvaged everything and everyone left dinner full, and the Typhur is a precision instrument that does not double as an alarm.

Great product. I did a lot of research before choosing Typhur and couldn’t be happier. The app functionality works really well, too. The only thing that hasn’t been great is the prediction for when the food will reach the target temp, but I think that has more to do with my oven temperature fluctuating constantly.
