My first impression after using these sensors is that they not very good. For background info, I was using them to monitor temperature in a brisket. Immediately I noticed the temperatures for ambient were different by almost 30 deg F between the two sensors. It was odd how different the ambient temperature readings were between the two sensors when they were placed right next to each other. My other gripe with this equipment was that it kept disconnecting between the sensors and my phone and the sensor dock (I was sitting inside my house, main floor, which is approximately 50 ft from where the grill was). From time to time I just couldn’t see what the temperatures were. For the amount of money I spent on this product, I would not recommend this to anyone.

I had the first gen MEATER probes that always lost connection and were not accurate, while these Typhur probes are the complete opposite, very accurate and I never lose connection and the app is so easy to follow.

I've had my own Taiper gold dual probe for several months now. There was a bit of a learning curve mostly involving trusting that It would give good results. Now that I am experienced with it I am happy to say It is one of the best devices I have ever bought. One needs to follow the instructions given ascooking proceeds and you will not be disappointed, The only major recommendation I have is if the probe could be made lower diameter it would be nearly perfect.

Bought this last month and couldn’t be happier. I have a friend that bought another decent brand, but the Typhur is hands down the champion.
What sold me was the freestanding base with its own crystal clear display. The unit is WiFi and Bluetooth. Why is this important? Because you can literally leave the grill - go for a drive or whatever, and it will still notify you. No more being trapped at the grill.

Probes stay charged for a loooong time - I still haven’t recharged it yet.

Honestly I haven’t screwed anything up on the grill since buying this - absolutely perfect.
I wish they had a nice hard case for it!

So glad I gambled on this ‘new’ wireless thermometer. The Sync Gold Dual is hands down the best WiFi and wireless meat thermometer out there. Two probes that measure both the meat temp and the ambient temperature inside the grill. Just what I was looking for. Easy to setup and automatically pops up on my iPhone when I turn on the base unit. The app even runs in the background and shows up on the small active app screen on the very top of the screen when viewing another app. Love this thermometer, makes me want to smoke meat every day and find different meats to experiment with. Thanks Typhur!

Aesthetically pleasing

I brought this product for myself for Christmas. This is my second one. My only disappointment is when I bought this one the dome Which cooked pizza or had a pizza preset? I wish I was told a new one was coming out. I would have waited a week and bought one.

Temp was off by around 10 degrees for my Thanksgiving turkey, but my Thermapen saved me by giving me accurate temp so my turkey didn't turn out dry. Not sure if I got a defective unit, but CS told me to boil water to check accuracy but haven't had the time to try that yet.
