App refuses to add this item as a device in the app and no weekend support available. No time to troubleshoot product on weekdays unfortunately, so will just have to live with that not functioning. Other aspects of device appear to be working so far as advertised, so still gave it 3 stars, but the web access to monitor this way was really why I paid this much for the unit. The other was that it monitors inside smoker temps at same time., which appears to be working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It just works. I had another thermometer from another company and it crapped out. Others I knew had the probes and there's did the same thing. My niece and her husband told me about Typhur and they liked it. I bought the duel and it works I mean I’ve had no issues with connectivity and staying connected.

I finally got tired of all the connectivity problems I was having with my master built gravity series and decided it was time to invest in a good set of wireless probes. So far I've done 2 cooks with these probes. The first was a pork shoulder that was on the smoker for about 15 hours and the 2nd was some reverse seared NY Strips. The probes handled both perfectly. I'm extremely impressed with the stability of the connection, the accuracy of the temperature readings, and the ease of use of the app/base station. The icing on top is being able to just toss the probes in the dishwasher for easy clean up. Highly recommended.

Wow what a great experience using the Typhur Sync Dual, The range is unbelievable. Don't bother wasting your money on other meat thermometers like i did. There's nothing more aggravating when your meat thermometer quits in the middle of a cook. The Typhur Sync Gold Dual has worked perfectly every time. Just get it you'll be very happy you did.

This device is very challenging to use. The problem is that it gets too close to the heat source. One of the probes melted when I put it in a 1.5 inch thick filet on the grill.

For best results and to help protect the probe, we recommend inserting it from the side of the cut so the sensing area stays centered inside the food and away from direct flame, grill grates, or other high-heat sources. This is especially important with thinner cuts.
