Game Changing......Peace of Mind!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing Performance by this Wireless Heat Thermometer System!
I walked from my backyard to the front of my house and down the street over 800 feet away to my mailbox with the Hub and it did not drop for one moment. This was impressive as it was stuck in the middle of a THICK Chuck Roast, Inside a Ceramic Kamado Grill! This was a long cook of over 6 hours and there was a moment when my wife told me I had to go pick up the boys from school right at the 3 hour mark. Normally this would not be something I do as I had not been able to monitor the cook away from my home. With the Ability it has to not only connect to the Hub but then the Hub connecting to your homes Wi-Fi Network allowed me to view the LIVE STATUS of the cook from my Cell Phone and even my Apple Watch.
It gave me such a peace of mind that after picking the boys up I was able to also stop by the grocery store to pick up some other items for the family meal I was cooking.
I am truly impressed by how reliable the connection is from the Heat Probes to the Hub and the Hub to my Wi-Fi, then to my Mobile Smart Devices.

Good concept with poor execution

I bought this after the recommendation of a YouTube chef that I respect. He recommended it for Thanksgiving turkey and the concept seemed pretty good so I bit. Ordering was straightforward. Set-up and use was another story. I followed all of the directions given in the provided instructions and downloaded the app. I continually had issues with the app not syncing with my device. I tried everything at my disposal and still could not get it to work. I am a tech savvy person and this should have been a simple process but it ended up in total frustration. The app usage does not render the device useless but it does make it far more appealing and without it, I cannot justify the cost of keeping it and will be returning the product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Typhur Application is not user friendly. The basics around cooking temperatures and typical meat, fish, pork and poultry are lacking. Although you select the “ English” language you get responses in french.

I’ve had a number of wireless thermometers. Compared to the MEATER and MEATER Plus, and a couple others - honestly there is no comparison. This thing ROCKS in a “it just works” kind of way. The range is amazing, the app and base station are simple and intuitive. The hardware, compactness and charging in the base all are great. This is the rare situation where buy wants cry wants sort of applies. But I would change that to buy once and you don’t have to shed a single tear.

Having been a meater user previously, the Typhur app lacks some of the features that meater excels at. I find the physical display on the base unit clunky and annoying (and honestly unnecessary). Being able to save past cooks would be ideal.

Probes are too large in diameter and require too much of the probe length to be inserted into the meat to be useful for anything but a very thick large steak. Unable to use on chicken thighs
