Good concept with poor execution

I bought this after the recommendation of a YouTube chef that I respect. He recommended it for Thanksgiving turkey and the concept seemed pretty good so I bit. Ordering was straightforward. Set-up and use was another story. I followed all of the directions given in the provided instructions and downloaded the app. I continually had issues with the app not syncing with my device. I tried everything at my disposal and still could not get it to work. I am a tech savvy person and this should have been a simple process but it ended up in total frustration. The app usage does not render the device useless but it does make it far more appealing and without it, I cannot justify the cost of keeping it and will be returning the product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Typhur Sync Gold Dual is a really fantastic product. I ordered mine in time for Thanksgiving this year and it made temping my turkey a breeze.
Being able to sit and watch TV while monitoring the temperature is really great. Before I bought the product I did not realize how helpful the app would be.
The app lets you set a target temp and even gives you an estimate of how long until you reach that temperature. I really couldn't be happier with my purchase.

I've used this thermometer (gold duo) twice since I bought it just before Thanksgiving. 1st cook was a prime rib and the probe performed perfectly! I double checked with a stick thermometer throughout the cook to verify temps and the typhur was within 1-2 degrees! The predicted finish time was accurate as well. The standing rib roast came out perfect after a short rest when pulled from smoker. The connection on this Typhur was far superior to my old Meater +. I never lost connection during the entire cook. Setup to home wifi was simple and user interface on the base is simple. The next cook was two turkey breasts and they came out perfect as well ! Time will tell how longevity of units non replaceable internal batteries will last. So far I love my Gold Duo!

Fixed all issues I had with Yummly Thermometer

Bought it during the BF sale and it's an amazing value. Had a Yummly Smart thermometer, huge difference. No more connection issues, the base if very convenient, battery is long lasting. Used it for smoking and grilling, compared it with my instant thermometer and it's within 1-2F.

I have a ton of wireless thermometers for cooking. So far my favorite is Typhur sync gold. It is very easy to use and very accurate and works flawlessly. It is a great buy. It has two probes and I love the display and the app.

One of the best wireless thermometers I had ever used. The range was great without losing connectivity. The reading was very accurate as well. Very well made and designed. The materials feel like quality and durable.

Purchased this for my thanksgiving turkey. It was easy to use, esthetically very nice looking, and works brilliantly. Roasted my turkey to a perfect internal temperature for all my family to enjoy!
