Bought this for my husband’s birthday, after his brother let him use his on our prime rib at Christmas! Works great! He is happy! Wish it had come with a carrying case or box to store it in.

Temperature monitoring for the future, and beyond

For me, it's the long cooks that make remote monitoring of temperature a necessity. It's 3AM and you want to make sure the pork shoulder is still progressing. With this thermometer, you can always be connected, even if you have to head out. With seamless WiFi, the thermometer connects to the internet. As long as your phone can see the internet too, you can monitor the temperature and receive alerts.

I bought this in February and finally got to use it for the first time on Saturday. I tried on a tri tip I smoked and it worked very well. The only issue I wanna say is that the connection got lost twice when I took my phone and the base to my bedroom as it lost connection with the probe. I immediately went back to the kitchen where it connected again. Now this happened to me twice as I wanted to clarify so next time I know not to take it into my bedroom as I was experimenting which location are best in the house. Now the distance from my bedroom to the smoker is about 50ft and one outside wall so as to why it lost connection is beyond me other than that I am very satisfied with this product and I will give 5 stars 👍
