Pleased so far. I've used it a handful of times and have had no problems and haven't had to charge the battery yet. I like how the receiver (main device) can be taken with you or left behind near the cooking area. It doesn't really matter because you can check the temperature on the phone too. Temperature is accurate. Cooked and tested on chicken and steak.

Great Connectivity, Ambient Temperature Reads Low.

I used this in place of the probe that came with my Traeger. The temperature of the meat seems pretty accurate, but the am ie t temp was quite low. I’ve used it in my grill and my oven. In both instances, the ambient temp on the Typhur was quite a bit lower than was shown on the appliance. That being said, the temperature of the meat is more important and that was right on.
As far as connectivity, I could check the progress as I was away from home with no issues. As long as g as I had a cell signal, I could see how the food was progressing.

Good probes; these are definitely nicer than the normal ones. Wish they would charge the probe when the units off but thats not end of world. I use them daily . They actually stand up to seering temps and they hold up just fine in the dishwasher. Highly recommend

Bought this for my husband’s birthday, after his brother let him use his on our prime rib at Christmas! Works great! He is happy! Wish it had come with a carrying case or box to store it in.

Temperature monitoring for the future, and beyond

For me, it's the long cooks that make remote monitoring of temperature a necessity. It's 3AM and you want to make sure the pork shoulder is still progressing. With this thermometer, you can always be connected, even if you have to head out. With seamless WiFi, the thermometer connects to the internet. As long as your phone can see the internet too, you can monitor the temperature and receive alerts.
