I bought this for Thanksgiving and Christmas turkeys after my last thermometer was inadvertently broken. My previous thermometer used wired probes and did not have any wireless or bluetooth capabilities. Having the capability to monitor the cooking from my phone was a real efficiency boost for me as I could work on other items while the turkey was cooking and I would receive alerts not only when the turkey was at temp, but 5 mins out from temp. Did not have any signal issues using and people thought the turkey was flavorful (brine) and tender (correct temperature when pulled). I really enjoy this thermometer and hope to use it for many years to come.

I gave this to my SIL for Christmas. He says he loves it and couldn’t be happier. The probes tell the temp of the meat as well as the temp of the smoker and allow him to adjust. He likes the app because it lets him monitor while doing things other than standing in front of the smoker.

One thing that I noticed when using the Typhur Sync Gold Dual on a roast in my oven was the fact that my oven temperature was about 20º F off. Also, the temperature change as the oven cycled on and off was wild. The ability to monitor the cook time, as fascinating as it was, really complicated my day by causing me to sit in the kitchen and make adjustments to my stove for the 3 hour cook.
