Reliable and Smart, But a Bit Pricey

The hardwired setup with AA battery backup is a great feature for extra safety. Setup was fairly easy, and the smart features like notifications are super helpful. My only complaint is the price—it’s a bit on the expensive side compared to other models. That said, for the added features and reliability, it's still a solid choice.

It’s hardwired for constant power but also has an AA battery backup for extra safety. I like that it connects with other alarms in the house and gives clear, loud alerts. The app is easy to use too. A solid choice for anyone looking to upgrade their home safety. Would recommend!

A smoke detector that is fully integrated with rin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally a smoke detector that fully integrates with the ring! I have been waiting for this for a long time. Installation was a breeze. Just like any other smoke detector installation. Setting it up in the Ring app was quick and flawless. There is a speaker on the device which also let me know when it was successfully connected to Wi-Fi. So far, everything works perfectly, and I absolutely love it. I have a full ring security system with cameras and a doorbell. I also have the monitoring, which includes Ring contacting my local fire department if this device were to ever go off. This is such a wonderful thing to have in the event that there are some type of fire when I am not home. Provides me with a lot of peace of mind, and was the final piece I was waiting for to complete my home security/monitoring system.

The Kidde Smart Smoke Alarm is a big upgrade from

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Kidde Smart Smoke Alarm arrived just as my old, outdated unit finally stopped working, and it’s been a major upgrade. Setup was simple, and I was pleasantly surprised that it pairs with the Ring app instead of needing a separate Kidde app, which helps keep everything in one place for me. The smart alerts come straight to my phone if there’s smoke or a low battery, and the voice alerts are clear and easy to understand. It’s highly responsive—maybe a little too sensitive while cooking—but I’d rather have that than miss a real threat. Being able to monitor the alarm through the Ring app adds a lot of convenience, and while it’s pricier than a basic alarm, the smart features and added peace of mind make it absolutely worth it.

Smart detector that’s easy to understand

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This detector requires you to have ring app. Since, I already have it I was able to use its smart functionality that is all the alerts on my ring app. The installation was quite simple and so was pairing it with the ring app. Like all Kidde smoke and CO detector, this is reliable. You cannot go wrong with Kidde!!
