[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these for my oldest son's art class at his high school. The art teacher specifically mentioned this brand when I told her the last ones we bought didn't last. They would break very easily and my son would get frustrated. Since we've been using these charcoal pencils he has been drawing more. There hasn't been little pieces left over from the charcoal either. His drawings look much better with more clear lines. These will be the only pencils I buy him from now on because they are the best.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really similar to the student grade charcoal, these work really good and they can be super easy gifts. Works well for charcoal background on pencil drawings. The quality is amazing on this charcoal pencil set, I will definitely buy it again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these because I decided I wanted to start using charcoal in my art. These pencils arrived in perfect shape and have worked great for me. They have been great for my artwork,the shade and blend extremely well and also they sharpen and unravel very evenly. I absolutely recommend these pencils to anyone who needs or wants to try using charcoal. They are super high quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter is into a art phase and is using a lot of charcoal. It's messy and gers all over the place. I found these pencils and the way that it covers the charcoal and allows you to uncover it as you go. Easy use, less mess, and less clean up for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family and I love these charcoal pencils they have brought so much fun for us. I like how they fit perfectly in my small hands and are easy to grip for a nice drawing without slipping. The string is easy to pull to get you pencil started and continues evenly not wasting any of the pencil. The charcoal shade is excellent for casting shadows, to expand out a object or just to feel in without smearing. I like how they are made free of grit and impurities giving me peace of mind for the family to use.

One of the best sets of Charcoal Pencils out there

They dont leave little black streaks when your are blending, themes I had before would leave chunks behind and ruin my drawing. Glad I got a large box because my daughter is an amateur artist also and took half of them.

Great for Kid or Experienced Artists

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pencils are really great. They make such a nice dark smooth line, but are also easy to use for blending and shading. They are comfortable to hold, and I love the fact that they can be sharpened by peeling the paper. Charcoal pencils can be almost impossible to sharpen with a pencil sharpener. I think they would be a great addition to any artist's tool box. I did get a tiny squeak when I first started to draw which could have been more related to the paper I was using instead of the pencil, but it hurt my ears in the way that chalk sometimes can. However, I have no complaints about the performance of these pencils.
