Favorite Charcoal Pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Prang's box of 12 paper wrapped charcoal pencils are my favorite go-to tool for quick work in the charcoal medium. They are perfect for the beginning artist to the professional illustrator. It's paper wrapped for strength and cleanliness. The easy pull string for self sharpening is simple and quick. It provides a nice smooth laydown. It's soft and blendable, without being crumbly or dusty. The charcoal provides a clean, deeply rich, black pigment. Since they are AP certified Non toxic, they are safe for my children to use alongside me, creating a fun family experience.

Excellent Pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Prang Soft Charcoal pencils make excellent drawing pencils. They’re extremely easy to use and I love how you pull down on the side to expose more pencil versus trying to sharpen it with a blade. The color is perfect and I will definitely continue to use these in the future for my charcoal drawings.

My Favorite Brand

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started buying this brand a few months ago for an art class I am taking. I love them! They are sturdy pencils that don’t flex like other brands. The tip hasn’t chipped off during use or from me dropping them. Ticonderoga came highly recommended by my professor and now I can say I highly recommend to other artists.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The charcoal pencils are very pigmented. They are easier on the hands than regular charcoal because they don’t leave residue on your hands. They create an even color but going back over your work leaves residue on the paper.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little skeptical about these charcoal pencils. However, they have the wrap and they are Ticonderoga, which is a company whose quality I hold in high regard. They are large, not too thick or thin and ready to go. I really liked that they are not as messy as a lot of charcoal pencils! They do not "bleed" all over your hands and the string wrap to untie as you go is a definite crowd pleaser! I also like that there are 12 in the box! This a wonderful alternative to holding charcoal cubes and getting it EVERYWHERE! I definitely recommend Ticonderoga Charcoal Pencils to anyone with the desire to dabble in charcoal sketching.

Quality Charcoal Pencils.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Prang art products have been around a long time because they are high quality and great value for your money.I used them in art school and now my budding artist is using them too.These pencils have a stable core, comfortable to hold and lay down smoothly .Great features are they are individually paper wrapped, and you just pull the string to remove part of the paper and expose more charcoal - no sharpener needed .Sharping a charcoal pencil in a pencil sharpener is very hard since they'll break(so you loose a lot of the pencil ) These are also less messy for younger artist.and even though they were dropped on the floor , the charcoal did not break like other pencils we have used .I recommend these quality charcoal pencils to family and friends because they really are nicer to work with.

Great pencils

Good charcoal pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are easy to work with less messy than vine charcoal sticks and give a great sketch. applies smoothly and dark. I like the easy pull string to help sharpen the pencil and they are durable and should last me awhile.
