[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm new to the world of charcoal art so I felt that these would be the best bet for me and I was right 4 easy to use they're not messy they smudge well and they come in a pack of 12 so you really can't go wrong my only complaint is that it breaks really really easy so the charcoal is very brittle but I still would buy them again thank you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very high quality charcoal pencils. Very smooth and easy to sharpen. They blend very well from dark to light, very easy to use and very comfortable in your hand. I draw and create art often and these are my favorite charcoal pencils.

Perfect for Anyone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Prang/Ticnderoga charcoal pencils can be used to create a variety of effects and are perfect for doing their job: drawing and shading. I also found them easy to sharpen with a razor blade of sand paper. These pencils are much better than other brands I've tried in regards to feel and performance, however; they do have some slight issues. They are a bit more brittle and flaky/chalky than I'm used to, even for charcoal, and the paper wrapping doesn't peel off cleanly on; I have to restart it more times than not which can be inconvenient. That wasn't the case with all the pencils in the package so it seems to be a preforation issue that is hit or miss. That being said, I do highly recommend these charcoal pencils as they provide great levels of shading and lend themselves easily to a variety of shading effects and techniques! They may take a tiny bit of getting used to a first though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son has been using these in his art class and he loves them. He has tried several different brands, and none of them hold up to these. There is little to no mess, and the easy tear away paper is exceptional.

Love the "peel" design to make it easy to sharpen, etc. Using charcoal intimidates me, but my young artist dove right in! If you are in the market for charcoal pencils, these fit the bill!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how easy they are to open. I had to sharpen them as they are not sharpened. I love how easy it is to blend it with other colors. I did notice it does get on my hands as I'm left handed. I love how easy they are to hold.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found these Charcoal Pencils to draw and sketch with really smooth lines. They also glide nicely no matter which grade of paper I am using. They also blend and shade really well. I am a huge fan of the pull and peel instead of having to sharpen.
