[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent pencils for sketching. They've worked very well on a variety of media for me, and I especially love the performance and level of control these pencils give me for shading gradients. Superb choice for beginner and intermediate artists.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed this Charcoal Pencils and there so easy to use and have such a clean fine smooth writing. I enjoyed that they don't need to sharpen it. Just remove the string. I also like that there none toxic. My son enjoy it to draw his anime in his sketch book. He enjoys the black and white effect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ticonderoga - Charcoal Pencils are great for sketching. My son loves to sketch anime so I thought these pencils would be perfect for him to do so with. The charcoal pencils are very smooth feeling while sketching or drawing. They are perfect for shading in areas and getting into detail. They are very simple to peel when you get low. They have a little string you pull on and it brings out more charcoal for you to draw with. The tip is kinda thick so if you want to get thin lines out of it you have to turn it to the side and draw. Overall these pencils are great and I will be buying them again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pencils work well all the same hardness but a good level of hardness for many different uses. My son and I love using these pencils during art time. We use charcoal and chalk to create pictures on black paper

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They work nicely, but they have a bit of a squeak to them. The self sharpening is great for people who dont know how to sharpen a charcoal pencil. I'vee used Prang products before, but these are by far my favorite. I would recommend them to anyone.
